Matt Denton Builds World's Largest Hexapod Walker

Inspired by the AT-ATs from Star Wars, Matt Denton built what Guinness World Records calls the "largest rideable hexapod" in the world. Matt started by building and tweaking small hexapod robots, and worked his way up to something bigger than a car. The machine is relatively easy to control, as a human operates a joystick while a computer handles the movement of all the legs. Words don't do this contraption justice, so check it out in the video below:

Matt Denton, from Hampshire (UK), has now built the largest rideable hexapod robot, which measures 2.8m x 5m and weights almost two tonnes.
