Bungie Moves to Reassure Destiny Fans after Securing $100M for New Game

While the developer insists that Destiny will not be neglected nor forgotten, Bungie has just accepted over $100M from Chinese Internet technology company NetEase to build a new game. According to boss Pete Parsons, the goal of the partnership is to make Bungie a global game and entertainment company that could develop and self-publish multiple new titles.

What this means for the future of Destiny remains to be seen. Bungie's original deal with Activision was for the studio to develop Destiny games and their expansions over the course of a decade. The first game launched in September 2014, which means we're not even four years into this supposed decade of Destiny.
