Pirate Bay Co-Founder Must Pay Record Labels $395,000

Remember when you were young and stupid and you thought you could do anything you wanted without ever having to worry about the consequences? This guy does, and it keeps coming back to bite him in the ass over and over and over. I can't help it but, every time I read one of these stories, that mental picture of the Pirate Bay guys laughing and partying with champagne during the trial pops into my head.

Pirate Bay co-founder Peter Sunde may have thought he'd left the notorious site behind, but the legal system has other plans. The Helsinki District Court has just ordered him to pay $395,000 to record labels including Sony, Universal, Warner and EMI, after their content was shared illegally via the platform.
