'Textalyzer' Wants to Be a Breathalyzer For Your Cellphone

Stupid bills like this are such a waste of time. First of all, no one has a device that can do what the bill is proposing (yet). Secondly, this would never fly in court. And politicians wonder why more and more companies are encrypting data by default.

The bill "provides for the field testing for use of mobile telephones and portable electronic devices while driving after an accident or collision." After being involved in an accident, a driver would have to submit their phone for roadside testing, or face an automatic suspension of their license.
