World’s First Quantum Dot Monitor Launches In US

Those of you who are looking for a cheaper monitor capable of displaying 99% of the Adobe RGB color space may want to check this out. Sadly it is only 1080p, but quantum dot technology allegedly produces better and brighter colors.

Featuring QD Vision's Color IQ technology, the Philips 276E6ADSS has 1,920 x 1,080 pixel (Full HD) resolution, and is based around an IPS-ADS panel. This provides a 1000:1 static contrast ratio, 60hz refresh rate, five millisecond response time and 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles. Connectivity includes MHL-equipped HDMI, DVI-D, VGA, and a 3.5mm audio output jack.
