Amazon’s Dash Button Is As Pointless As You’d Thought

One thing I hate is excess. When Amazon originally announced the Dash Button, a small device that would allow you to order something in haste, I just rolled my eyes. But oh, it looks to be far worse than mere unnecessity. Not only is the product selection limited, but Amazon seems to have designed it so you’re paying more due to the lack of money-saving options such as Subscribe & Saveآ—a feature that makes me wonder why anyone would need the Button in the first place.

The Dash button is an unabashed attempt to disconnect customers from the amount of money we're spending. And frankly, even that would be fine, if only Dash buttons provided the instant product gratification they promise.
