Comcast Merger Review Put On Hold By FCC

The FCC has put a hold on the go-ahead of the $45 Billion dollar merger of two of the largest Internet services/cable providers in the US. In a letter to both parties, the FCC cited that responses from both companies weren’t sufficient on questions posed by the FCC and require independent confirmation of the facts of the merger.

This latest move may give even more momentum to opponents of what was initially seen as near-certain approval of the blockbuster merger between the nation’s top two cable operators.
