Internet ‘Fast Lane’ Proposal Crumbles

Tom Wheeler, Chairman of the FCC and proponent of the paid Internet ‘fast lanes’, has found himself suddenly standing virtually alone on a burning deck. Over 100 Internet companies have expressed opposition to the FCC’s plan.

Tech titans, including Facebook, Ebay, Google, Netflix, Microsoft, Twitter, Reddit, and dozens of startups, have all signed on to a letter [PDF] urging the commission to reject the proposed changes.
