California Court Rules on Using Cellphone Maps While Driving

The California Court System has cleared the way to allow drivers to use Google Maps on their cellphones while driving. This ruling will allow drivers to get to new places while Googling and driving such as ditches, tree trunks, the rear of other cars and other interesting places unavailable before if you had your eyes on the road. big grin

The 5th District Court of Appeal reversed the ticket on the ground that the law specifically limits the use of "listening and talking" without the use of a hands-free device, but does not apply to other uses of the phone.
