Anchorman 2 Was Paramount’s Final Release on 35mm Film

A major ‘film’ studio has switched from 35mm film for the newer digital format technology. Digital photography will maintain a lower initial cost of shooting a movie, cost much less to make copies and will last indefinitely.

The move has been a long time coming. Back in 2012, Ars reported that digital media research company IHS Screen Digest predicted that movie studios would cease producing 35mm film prints for major markets like the US, France, the UK, Japan, and Australia by the end of 2013
