Americans Would Ban 3D-Printing Guns at Home

A new phone survey of over 1K Americans shows a surprising number of them support the unrestricted right to own 3D printers in the home. When the same people were asked if they approved of using those printers to manufacture 3D gun parts, the majority of the respondents polled said they couldn't or wouldn't support the practice.

That may well represent an element of discomfort with new technology that colors the overall results آ— and it's still overwhelming support for private ownership of 3D printers.
