Congress May Try to Regulate Violent Video Games

It’s the logical next step, I suppose, to regulate video games since the actual legislation on assault weapons failed. If you can’t get assault weapons off the streets, regulate the video games instead. A new push by Senator Dianne Feinstein intends to introduce legislation to regulate the video game industry for violent content in absence of industry self-regulation.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said that game publishers need to make voluntary actions to avoid glorifying guns and violence following the Newtown elementary school massacre in December. She noted that Congress would take action if the industry didn’t do something.
