Nintendo Console Profitability Hinges on Games Sales

Following the trend set by several manufactures of everything from smartphones to gaming consoles, Nintendo is selling the Wii U at a loss to get it into the hands of the gamers. You might think the tactic is a little bit crazy, but it’s working in a big way.

According to Fils-Aime, "as soon as we get the consumer to buy one piece of software, then that entire transaction becomes profit positive."
