Orionid Meteor Shower Promises a Weekend Treat

If you aren’t planning on doing much tonight, or you turn in late or rise early, you are a candidate to witness the yearly event of the Earth passing through debris from Halley’s Comet. The event is called Orionid meteor shower and is expected to produce about 25 meteor sightings per hour across most of the U.S.
