FCC Poised to Vote on Spectrum Auction Plan

The FCC may actually get around to voting on a proposal to sell off unused spectrum on September 28th. The actions were first proposed in 2010, will be voted on in 2012 and may take place by 2014, finally.

"The proposal would also free up a significant amount of unlicensed spectrum for innovative WiFi-like uses, and create the first uniform, national low-band unlicensed spectrum in any country."
