Online Game Theft Earns Real-World Conviction

I like how the attorney in this case was trying to argue it wasn't robbery because the items were virtual. Ummmm, last time I checked, beating and robbing someone at knife point is robbery, regardless what you take from them. roll eyes (sarcastic)

The amulet and mask were a 13-year-old boy's virtual possessions in an online fantasy game. In the real world, he was beaten and threatened with a knife to give them up. Judges ordered the offender to perform 144 hours of community service.
