Apple Pulls Controversial App from French App Store

Apple has pulled a controversial app on grounds that it violates French law concerning personal information dissemination according to the BBC. The app in question is Jew or Not Jew, created by a Johann Levy, and according to the developer was created for fun and nothing more. Apple has made no comment on the removal.

Johann Levy, a 35-year-old developer who is Jewish and holds dual British and French nationality, denied that the app was in any way discriminatory and said that it was about "being proud."
