Optimus Water Cooling may be a company that you are not familiar with. That is because this is its first publicly available computer water cooling product in retail. Optimus V1 Silver Water Block Unboxing and Breakdown

Optimus Water Cooling is the new kid on the block in terms of enthusiast computer water cooling and is based in Illinois. The company's products are primarily sourced and manufactured in the USA. Its first water block for Intel sockets is now available for preorder and should be shipping very soon. Outside of being made in the USA, the one thing that got my attention was its micro-fin and channel dimensions that it refers to as "Hybrid Fin" technology.

Optimus Water Cooling is thrilled to unveil its first CPU water block designed for Intel's LGA 115X and 20XX processors. Our first production block houses the world's smallest micro fins and channels. We are able to produce a cold plate with copper fins only 0.005" (0.127mm) thick, and channels 0.004" (0.1016mm) thick. To put this in perspective, our channels are the same width as paper is thick and our fins are only slightly thicker. This is possible through our revolutionary patent-pending Hybrid Fin technology. This technology will allow us to manufacture fins that are even smaller in the future, which make it possible to achieve the best cooling possible of any water block for many years to come. Special attention was given to the surface finish of the copper cold plate. All of our cold plates are Diamond Turned to give a very smooth and flat mounting surface.

We got our Optimus V1 Silver in this morning and we give you a quick breakdown and show you those fins. I am very much looking forward to getting this one plumbed into the loop on the test bench and see how it performsm
