NVIDIA is launching the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti today, and we’ve got a custom retail MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING TITANIUM video card to test and overclock, yes overclock, to the max. We’ll make comparisons against GTX 1080/1070, AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 and 56 for a complete review.

Evaluation Method

We evaluate what the card being evaluated can supply us in terms of a playable gaming experience while supplying the best culmination of resolution and "eye candy" graphical settings. We focus on quality and immersion of the gameplay experience rather than how many frames per second the card can get in a canned benchmark or prerecorded timedemo situation that often do not represent real gameplay like you would experience at home. Then we will follow with apples-to-apples testing in with minimum, maximum, and average framerates.

For NVIDIA GPUs we are using NVIDIA supplied press drivers for GeForce GTX 1070 Ti. This is version GeForce 388.09 on all NVIDIA GPU based video cards in today’s review.

For AMD GPUs we are using the newly released AMD Crimson Re-Live Edition 17.10.3 driver.

We have also updated to the latest Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, 1709 OS.
