Anidees AI Crystal Mid-Tower Case Review
Anidees tells us, "It's not just a case with glass side panel." Fair enough, and most enthusiasts know they either want to be able to peek inside and feel the satisfaction of their handiwork. Assuredly though, now days you need more features than just a glass door to satisfy system builders.
Today we are reviewing Anidees AI Crystal mid-tower PC case. Founded in 2012, Anidees is relatively new to the PC market. At first, the company primarily focused on the European market with products ranging from aluminum Raspberry Pi cases, mobile USB chargers, and aluminum PC chassis. By 2014, Anidees had moved into the Canadian market and branched out into the U.S. market in 2015. The company offers a variety of PC chassis from the standard brushed aluminum PC towers to the smaller mATX / mini-ITX chassis to the higher end chassis like the AI Crystal we are looking at today.
The story of Brand name anidees was from English first "an idea" but we play it to plural and it turns to "an ideas" but since the most ideas we collected for our product are from Europe. thus we change idea to idee (German ,Dutch, France) , with plural form it turns to "anidees" anidees is a design company, focus on product design and provide value add items to customers. Our slogan is " Ideas from you". Our aim is to be a brand/Company who listen to users and make "simple , elegant , and Quality" products to our customers.
The subject of today's evaluation is the Anidees AI Crystal mid-tower PC case. The press release for the AI Crystal states:
"The AI-Crystal Tempered Glass (5mm thickness) ATX Case that features full tempered glass on front and side panels. Built in 4 x 140mm white LED fans (3 in the front, 1 in the rear) create light effect inside and outside of case as well as air flow. The new AI Crystal not only supports, ATX, and Micro-ATX motherboards, but also E-ATX motherboards. The AI Crystal is compatible with 420/360/280/240 radiators in the front and top of case. The AI Crystal ATX tempered glass will come equipped with 3 x SSD brackets, 2 x 3.5" modular metal HDD brackets (total can be installed 3 × 3.5" HDDs), fan hub, fan controller, and removable dust filters."
Now that we have all the company info and product information out of the way, let's get right down to brass tacks and see what this chassis is made of (besides metal and tempered glass).
The Anidees AI Crystal arrived in its bare product packaging with a fair amount of damage to the back of the box. Being that this is a case with tempered glass panels on three side of the chassis, we were a bit worried about the condition of the chassis. The overall package measurements are 23"H x 22"L x 12.5"W and is constructed of double-walled corrugated cardboard that is glued along the seams.
The Anidees AI Crystal box features plain cardboard packaging with product information, name, company logo all printed in blue and black. Both the front and the back of the packaging is identical. The case itself is wrapped in a plastic bag and held in place by thick polyethylene closed-cell foam inserts. Something you will notice about the images above is that there was a typo in the spelling of the case, "Chrysatal," on the early review sample we have here. This has since been corrected and all retail packaging now features the correct spelling.
As for the damage to the packaging that occurred during shipping, thanks to the great protection provided by the thick polyethylene closed-cell foam used to secure the chassis during shipment, there was no damage to the case.
