Thermaltake Core P3 Wall-Mounted Chassis Review

The Thermaltake Core P3 chassis can be mounted standing, in a desktop orientation, or directly to the wall. The open design allows you to see all the components in your system easily and the wall-mount option allows you to place your system in view like a work of art. All of these options come in at an easy-on-the-wallet price as well.

Introduction

Today we are reviewing the Thermaltake Core P3 Wall-Mounted ATX Chassis.

Thermaltake is a company that needs no introductions. To be honest, the reason most of us know the name is because you've probably, at some point in the past decade, had one (or more) of its products installed your system. In the early days, the Thermaltake brand was synonymous with performance cooling but, over the last few years, it is hard to find a segment of the industry the company hasn't expanded into.

We have featured numerous products from Thermaltake in our product reviews over the years, everything from the company's cooling products and award winning power supplies to audio components and its uniquely distinctive computer cases.

The subject of today's evaluation is the Thermaltake Core P3 chassis. If this chassis looks familiar, that would be because it is a smaller version of the Thermaltake Core P5 chassis we reviewed back in February of this year. According to the Thermaltake website:

"The Core P3 Open Frame chassis sets a new benchmark in groundbreaking open frame chassis design. With full support for liquid cooling آ– the Core P3 is built from the ground up to make even the most advanced PC customization and modification effortless and hassle free, making it a dream to build with. The open frame panel design is protected with a clear acrylic panel آ– behind which sits the chassis frame, with supports the latest PC hardware, AIO and DIY liquid cooling solutions. Specially designed dual GPU and PSU layouts, plus a 3-way stand placement (wall mountable, horizontal laying and vertical standing) allow users to position the chassis any orientation آ– and appreciate your artwork status worthy build."

Much like its larger sibling, the main focus of the Thermaltake Core P3 chassis is putting your parts on display in style.

Product Packaging

The Thermaltake Core P3 Wall-Mounted ATX chassis arrived in its bare product packaging with some mild damage from shipping. The overall package measurements are 22.5"H x 21.5L x 7.5"W and is made of double-walled corrugated cardboard with dual staple construction along the seams.

The Thermaltake Core P3, much like other Thermaltake cases we've recently reviewed, features plain cardboard packaging with an outline of the case, product information, name, company logo and an exploded view of the chassis all printed in black. The case components are wrapped in plastic and held in place by molded Styrofoam packaging.
