Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Micro Tower Case Review
Phanteks is no stranger to building excellent computer hardware enthusiast system cases. Today we are looking at its Micro Tower Chassis. Designing and building a good computer chassis is easy to do when you have a lot of room to work with, but how does Phanteks go about it when space is at a premium? It makes more space.
Today we are reviewing the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv. Phanteks, primarily known for its CPU coolers and line of cooling fans, really knocked us off our feet with its first foray into the chassis market, the Phanteks Enthoo Primo. In the end, the company truly delivered on its "ultimate chassis" claims. Can lightning strike in the same place twice? Phanteks hopes to do just that with its latest chassis, the Evolv.
From the Phanteks about us page:
Phanteks was founded from a group of engineers with a total of 20 years of international experience in thermal solutions. They paired up with a Dutch design team and established Phanteks in 2007. Phanteks venture into the CPU cooling industry with two goals in mind, "High-end quality and innovative products in thermal solutions."
As a relatively young company, we strive to develop top quality and superior products. Our first product, PH-TC14PE, was a great success in the overclocking community. With the success we have made, we are more passionate in developing new and better innovative cooling solutions than ever. Our Phanteks Design Team is situated in the Netherlands and consists of creative researchers, designers and developers whose only desires are to bring the latest cutting edge technology to you.
We are continuously pursuing excellence in thermal solutions so that we can develop and bring satisfaction to the enthusiasts and computer users everywhere. Our goal is to be the best in the industry and our motto is "no job is impossible."
The product page for the Phanteks Evolv states:
The Enthoo EVOLV, a mATX/mITX chassis, sports a beautiful all aluminum exterior. The EVOLV’s unparalleled design features an all new tool free release system for the outer panels. The EVOLV supports many high end PC components while maintaining a minimalist design.
We know the company can deliver when it comes to full-sized enthusiast enclosures, let's see if the same is true for its mini-ITX chassis.
The Phanteks Enthoo Evolv was shipped inside a brown cardboard box that showed no signs of wear or damage. As with the outer box, the overall condition of the product packaging was very good. The overall package measurements are 21.5"H x 18.5"L x 12"W and is constructed of double-walled corrugated cardboard with a double row of staples along the seams.
The front of the box prominently features a hero shot of the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv and product information with a list of features on the back and sides. The case itself is covered with a plastic bag and held in place by thick Styrofoam inserts.
