Facebook Begins Testing Instant Articles From News Publishers

Do you know why I think this will fail? Because, if you wanted to be reading news, you'd be reading news...not surfing Facebook (and vice versa). No one wants to be bombarded with this stuff on their phone while checking their Facebook page. Then again, that's just my $0.02, your mileage may vary. wink

Nine media companies, including NBC News and The New York Times, have agreed to the deal, despite concerns that their participation could eventually undermine their own businesses. Facebook is also permitting the news companies to collect data about the people reading the articles with the same tools they use to track visitors to their own sites.
