Laser Treatment Claims to Turn Brown Eyes Blue

You might remember that old song called Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue. It took a while, but technology finally caught up with a musician’s message and can now actually make your brown eyes blue. Strōma Medical Corporation has developed a procedure based in laser technology that can safely turn your brown eyes blue by removing the dark pigment of the eye and nature will do the rest.

Strōma's technique uses a laser to disrupt the melanin in the stroma of the iris. The patient watches a small animation about a foot from their face, their head stabilised, while the laser does its work, a process that takes, in all, around 30 seconds per eye.
