NSA Lays Out Its Reforms Post-Snowden
NSA has published a fact sheet on its reforms in relation to intelligence gathering in the US and it’s unbelievable. Unbelievable in the fact that only cursory tweaks were made and just about everything is still at status quo even with the Administration pushing for sweeping reform.
The rules on whistleblowing have also been amended to allow staff to report illegal activity by their peers without fear of professional sanction. If, like Edward Snowden, you're a contractor, there are still no legal protections for whistleblowing, and you can expect to be prosecuted if you speak out.
