Cadillac to Replace Rearview Mirror with a Video Feed

GM announced this week that in 2016, models of the Cadillac CT6 will replace the ever present rearview mirror with a more efficient wide angle video feed from onboard rear mounted video camera. Undoubtedly this will begin a new race in auto companies attempting to build a bigger and better gadget to impress the new car buyer.

Rearview mirrors with HD camera feeds have been available as aftermarket upgrades for some time, but car manufacturers have yet to make them standard options on their vehicles
