Polish Town Builds a Statue in Honor of Wikipedia
I like Wikipedia as well as the next guy, but nowhere to the extent of Professor Krzysztof Wojciechowski of the Colegium Polonicum in the small Polish town of Slubice. He has spearheaded the drive to raise the approximate $15K that was needed to build a statue in the town honoring Wikipedia. ![]()
The monument — a tribute to an entire community working selflessly for the benefit of others — we found interesting and worthy of being in Slubice.
