A Final Plea for the Future of Internet TV

Many people mistakenly dismiss the upcoming Supreme Court case pitting the tiny re-braodcasting service known as Aereo against the major TV broadcasting giants as a singular case of litigation. Not so, say the industry insiders: The future of all streaming broadcasting could be at stake.

The companies rent out a tiny antenna to each user for a monthly fee, which allows the renter to watch network broadcasters from computers and mobile devices, and also to access cloud DVRs for recording content.
