Amazon Collecting Sales Tax in Three More States

Heads up for residents of Indiana, Nevada and Tennessee, Amazon has begun to collect sales tax in your state as of January 1st. Amazon seems to be fighting a losing battle to collect sales tax in states the company ships merchandise, already collecting taxes in 19 states.

Technically, customers are supposed to report Web purchases and pay taxes on them, but people rarely do.
