'World's Oldest' Newspaper Going Digital After 279 Years
If this isn’t a sign of the times, nothing is. Lloyd’s List, a newspaper that has been in continuous publication since 1734 is shutting down its printing presses in December for good and going all digital.
This shift toward digital platforms has, of course, been taking over the news industry for quite some time. In 2008, the Internet surpassed print media as the way people get their news, according to a Pew Research study, and the gap is only widening.
