Instagram Cracks Down on Use of ‘Insta’ and ‘Gram’

Instagram is beginning to get protective of its brand name and has moved against several companies to make naming changes and remove portions that may infringe on the Instagram trademark. Just wait until Apple sues Instagram for using an "I" in their naming scheme.

Though the Instagram name itself has always been protected by trademark and by the company’s API guidelines, the terms "Insta" and "Gram" have not.
