Apple Files for Two Battery Design Patents

Apple is pretty much the King of patent appliers, mostly to thwart other companies and never actually planning to use the patent. From recent patent applications it looks like Apple has plans to use these new battery designs in upcoming models of curved or wrap around smartphones.

AppleInsider uncovered the patents, filed for on October 28 2011, reporting that although it is not clear what Apple intend to do with these batteries, "a possibility is the use of such battery design in an iPhone with a "wrap-around" display, which passed through the USPTO in late March."
