Amazon Studios OKs Production on Pilots for Kids' Shows
Amazon is making five more pilots for children’s shows adding to the six that are already in production. Once completed, the pilots will air free on Amazon video outlets to get feedback on further production. Amazon will be presenting the finished product in full season episodes on Amazon Prime.
The efforts are in line with Amazon's push for original programming. The online retail giant pushed its way into the home-entertainment industry with its streaming services. It's now creating original content to compete with rival companies -- including Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube
