HP Cutting 850 Jobs, Closing German Plant

Hewlett Packard announced on Friday that the Russelsheim, Germany plant will be closing in October with the loss of 850 jobs. The closing and subsequent job losses are a part of a worldwide cutback of 8% of the company’s workforce.

"While some of these actions are difficult because they involve the loss of jobs, they are necessary to improve execution and to fund the long-term health of the company."
