FCC and Mobile Carriers Commit to Nationwide Text-to-911
Mobile carriers have committed to accelerating the progress of nationwide texting to 911 for a complete deployment by May 15th, 2015. The emergency SMS service, once completed, will provide ‘911’ coverage to approximately 90% of all wireless customers in the US.
