Apple Cites Improving Conditions in Foreign Factories

The recent events at China’s Foxconn factories, where Apple is one of the main recipients of Foxconn’s production, has facilitated Apple to take steps to bring its supplier into compliance with international labor laws. Apple is pledged to making the work environment more worker friendly in all of its supplier’s plants all across Asia.

The updates include the fact that they are now tracking over 800k workers — up from 700K in July — to gather the data, and that their compliance was ‘sustained’ in August — holding fast at 97%.
