AOL Wins, Bloggers Lose Over Payment Suit

And the moral of the story? Never work for someone that would stiff you after making over three hundred million dollars off your hard work.

The bloggers were seeking class-action status for the lawsuit. The lawsuit was prompted by AOL Inc.'s $315 million purchase of the Huffington Post last year. The bloggers claimed that the website unjustly profited from their work, promising only exposure. In dismissing the suit, the judge says the bloggers knew from the start that they wouldn't be paid and could have taken their work elsewhere.
