New Record Label Lets You Download Music for Free

I don’t know if DigSin is just swimming against the current, rocking the boat or actually being a trend setter for the future of music downloads, but it’s a great concept. Getting the majority of the music industry to come on board is a bit of a stretch, but if the model did ever gain traction, it would sure solve the pirating problem.

But could the freemium model really reach the entertainment industry? iTunes brought down the price of music significantly when it instituted the .99 cents per song model.
