Internet Explorer Will Drop Under 50% Market Share in 2012
If the rate of user decline continues at the pace it is at now, Internet Explorer will pass a benchmark in mid-2012. According to Net Applications, IE will fall under 50% user share for the first time, with the success of Firefox and Chrome browser to thank for the decline.
In the last 12 months, Chrome has jumped 7.8 percentage points to 15.5%; in August, Chrome surged by 1.2 points, its largest increase ever.
