Apple Patent Seeks to do Away with Fingerprints

Well, you know Apple and its passion for seeking patents. Apple has turned its corporate attention and R&D to the massive problem of fingerprints. Not just any fingerprints, specifically those that find their way to hand held devices. You gotta draw the line somewhere.

Apple here is using an oleophobic coating to keep fingerprints out of mobile world, a direct liquid application called Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and should it work the way they’re describing it.
