Sprint, RIM to Scrap PlayBook 4G Release

The rumors were swirling last month that RIM was planning to scrap production of its Wi-Fi version of PlayBook and run with their 4G version. The surprise came Friday when Sprint announced that by mutual consent the 4G version will no longer be carried.

Some believe that RIM's change of plans only hurts the company itself, and criticized their marketing strategies.
