ActiveVideo Seeks Injunction to Stop FIOS

It has not been a really good week for Verizon. After suffering through a crippling strike from 45K union workers, Verizon lost a settlement battle for $115 million with ActiveVideo for patent infringement. To add insult to injury, ActiveVideo will be seeking an injunction which will basically shut down FIOS. Some weeks you just can’t catch a break.

Verizon has an enormous incentive to try and fight the injunction, as FiOS now accounts for 57 percent of Verizon's consumer revenue, which totaled $3.4 billion.
