Apple Patches iOS Malware Vulnerabilities

Apple released a vulnerability patch for the majority of Apple handheld devices on Friday. The patch addresses the possibility of malware infections recently discovered by a German IT group. Characteristically, Apple deferred to its policy of not confirming the threat until exhaustive investigation is completed.

The exploitation of these two vulnerabilities could give an attacker the ability to shut down or even control an iOS device with an appropriately crafted PDF file.
