GoDaddy.com to be Acquired by Investor Group

In a press release expected next week, domain registrar giant GoDaddy will announce the company has been purchased by a multi-partner venture group. The sale price is rumored to be in the $2-2.5 Billion dollar range. GoDaddy had considered mounting an IPO several years ago, but remained private. I wonder if the GoDaddy girls go with the sale or have to be negotiated separately? big grin

If GoDaddy is acquired, it would join a wide range of companies in KKR & Co.'s portfolio, including audio products manufacturer Harmon International, mattress maker Sealy, and integrated software provider Sungard. Last month alone, KKR & Co. acquired two companies and invested in two others.
