Apple Recalling Some Verizon iPad 2 Units with Duplicate IDs

Rumors had been circulating all day Friday about the recall of Apple iPad2 units for Verizon. The rumor was acknowledged as true by an Apple spokesman late Friday afternoon. The issue stems from incorrect electronic serial numbers.

Although most of the small number of devices involved were still in the process of hitting the market, a few had already found their way into customers’ hands.
