T-Mobile Customer Exodus Continues
T-Mobile is losing contract customers at a sustained high rate and the loss could be a factor in the proposed merger with AT&T. The FCC regulators are scrutinizing the mega-deal for anti-trust violations and lack of competition caused by the merger of two of the four largest wireless carriers.
Although regulators are unlikely to draw conclusions from a single three-month period, continued poor performance from T-Mobile through the rest of the year might affect thinking at the Justice Department and the Federal Communications Commission.
