iPad2’s Used in School Pilot Program
The Auburn, Maine school district has purchased 285 iPad2’s for use in a pilot program to increase the learning curve among kindergarteners. The initial layout of $200k will cover an entire grade level of this small community.
The device is seen as more portable and less expensive than laptop computers, and more appropriate for the age group's hands-on use
