Apple Stock Falls on Supply Issues
The earthquake is having far reaching effects on companies worldwide and especially with Apple. Apple shares dropped about $20 last week. The biggest problem is the parts are so proprietary that they are made in only several plants in Japan and are not interchangeable with other suppliers.
It is also about these manufacturers' ability to get the raw materials for their parts. Logistics, meaning the ability to obtain these materials and transport them to and from the facilities, is as important as the health of the facilities themselves.
