Toshiba Says Chip Production Resumes in Japan

After a short interruption in flash memory production, Toshiba reports production has resumed. The main production plants are located near Tokyo, which is south of the epicenter, were not badly damaged. The good news is there will be an ample supply, but the bad news is a possible logistics problem, causing a rise in price.

"There was some loss of wafers, but operations have since resumed. They're currently operating and the overall impact still being assessed," he said.
