AOL Cuts 900 Jobs Worldwide

Citing overlaps that exist since the purchase of The Huffington Post, AOL reports that it is cutting about 20% of its workforce worldwide, which equates to about 900 positions. The Huffington Post was recently purchased by AOL at a cost of $315 million dollars and lists approximately 60 employees. If that number is correct, that is some serious overlapping going on.

Armstrong maintained his confidence about AOL's prospects for a comeback."AOL will turn around," he said. "No doubt about that."
